Naughty Corner?

Notty lil' Ivan was sent to the naughty corner in school recently for spilling the cup of milo intentionally. When I heard about it, I spoke to him. Asked him what did he do and why he did it and did he apologised to the teachers. He said he spilled the cup of milo and he didn't say sorry to the teachers. He whispered, 'I said sorry to kakak (the maid in school)'. Instead of getting angry with him and probably plan out another punishment plan, I find it rather comical. *grin* Imagine putting my super fullamak stubborn son in a corner where he can't move away and ... he had to pull his ears. Hhehhehehee ... must be hilarious. Hmm .. wonder whether the teachers took any pictures?

I thought it was funny. But Ivan's ego doesn't agree.

He was really cranky when he woke up in the next morning to get to school. Eventually, Jef had to leave him at home because he was too cranky for school.

So, that got me thinking. And I googled about naughty corner. Well, there are indeed pros and cons to that punishment method. And you can probably read about it here. (This website is excellent ! I shall revisit it soon). Despite the cons, I will still respect the punishment method Ivan's school has chosen, as long as it doesn't involve canning or beating. Just that back at home, I will not use this as a way to punish him. I will probably finish up his favourite food or probably throw away his super worn-out bolster or leave his pacifier to dry out under the hot sun or mess up his toys or cut holes in his underwears. Hhahhahahah ... ! I have my own ways of punishing him and definitely not those I just mentioned.

Anyway, I am on-duty to send him to school tomorrow and I'm scared. Worried actually. Oh God ... please help me ... please don't let him cry so hard and look so sad when I leave him in school tomorrow. Give me & him strength and the teachers the necessary patient when with him. Don't allow him to plot another mischief till I come pick him up later. Amen !

Wow, a naughty corner. Not bad. I'm glad they did that instead of hitting the children.

Poor Ivan :p
