Mummy is a Monkey?

Received the latest copy of EnfaMama club newsletter recently and there are a couple of animal pictures in one of the pages. Happily, I show and tell Ivan the names.

[me] : Ivan, this is a liiiiooonnn (yes, it comes with a special facial expression as well. Just to make sure that he can read my lips and follow suit)

[Ivan] : yaaaai-yern ...

[me] : Good boy ! (well, I cannot be expecting him to pronounce lion correctly at first try anyway)

[Ivan] : ngggaaauummm (he actually roared like a lion ! Hey ... worth watching animal planet afterall !!)

[me so ecstatic with Ivan's cleverness]

[me] : Ivan, this is frog

[Ivan] : Frog ! (He can pronounce this as he has been watching frog animations from my phone)

[me] : Good boy ! Ivan, this is a monkey

[Ivan] : (He paused for awhile and then excitedly, he said) Mummy !!!

[me] : Vern, it's Monk-Key ! (me saying it slowly for him to catch it correctly)

[Ivan] : Mummy !! (and as though he was trying to explain what's a monkey, he started scratching his head and body like a monkey. )

He was being provocative.

Provoking a female lion called mummy.

[me] : roooaarreedD !
