Happy Father's Day, sweetie ! Just to let you know, Ivan's still learning to say the words so that he can wish you personally, well, next year perhaps? But meanwhile, I shall represent him and wishes you on his behalf !
You have been a great daddy and hubby. Well, being a dad is definitely not easy and even though there are lots of books and family members to refer to, this 'lifetime job' requires alot of other factors that are most probably not mentioned in any of the references you can find. For example, the most vital, if not the only qualities are courage and patient. And, you sure have courage. Patient? Ha ... still acquiring. *wicked*
I have always proclaimed that I enjoyed every bit of my pregnancy. But that's only because you have made it better for me. For example, I needed dinner immediately when I'm home. I cannot be starved or otherwise, I will get nauseated and throw up and you won't want the rest of the story. I was a real pain in the neck. And you were so sweet. You learned to cook. You cook me dinner. So, when I'm home, I have a nice dinner waiting for me. Well, you didn't cook for the entire 9 months but, for almost 4 months, if I recall correctly.
And, in the delivery suite, ha ! you were so hilarious. To motivate myself and to forget about the pain, I was calling Ivan's name. And, you were saying 'But, it's not Ivan's fault that you feel so painful now'. Ya ... It's not Ivan's fault. It's yours? *grin* You were so helpless then. If you could, you would have share the pain with me. I could tell.
After the delivery, all the attention was on me and Ivan. But, I noticed you. You were busy preparing my stuffs, preparing the home, preparing to welcome Ivan and I home. And, you were the one running around to get stuffs, to carry this, that, foot the bill, etc etc etc. You have been the busiest person at home, but we get the attention. Apologise for that. :) But you didn't grumble.
What do we do without you? I can't tell and I don't want to think about it. I love you for all the things you have done for us, daddy. You have done alot and you have done great. No wonder Ivan's first word is Daddy. Happy Father's Day and sorry that this post came out so late. :)
