It's June and it's school report's day for Ivan. Met up with the teacher last Friday and mind you, I was nervous for the entire day. Plainly because I'm not sure of what to expect from her, will she be telling me how naughty my son is in school or will she be commenting what a cry baby Ivan is?
After surviving the day at work without thinking much about the meet up, I left work slightly earlier to get there on time. And, what a relief. Relief simply because she didn't tell me what I don't already know.
Here's the snippets of our Meet-Up. I went inside the school and was greeted by teacher, the maid and Ivan. Teacher then showed me the notebook with Ivan's pictures taken in school and the Report Book (of about 8 pages). *beeeeep*boooop*beeep*booop*
He does play with his friends however he is not the one who initiates the game. He does laugh with his friends but he has to be tickled real hard. He joins in group activities, but hardly stay with the team till the end (need team building, huh?). But then, that's him. We do wonder why a cheeky boy like him can be such a cool little fella when in school. Hmm ... need some sort of balance I suppose (separating between school and home, just like how we try to distinguish between work and family). Trying to keep his standard high when in school, huh?
Academic aspects. Hmm, since this is the secondary reason we send him to school and I wasn't really paying much attention when teacher speaks. (bad bad mummy). Well, he's doing allright, he is doing fine. He can name the primary colours plus several from secondary colours. He can recite his A - Z and able to recognise several out of the 26 alphabets. He could mix the beads / water around in small medium and large jugs. He can dress up on his own, piss in the toilet and flushes when he's done. He can name the shapes, a couple of animals and .... you sure get the picture. :)
The are more about how Ivan behaves in school but well, forget about the rest. It's part of growing up and let him grow up at his own pace. I reiterated that a couple of times now, didn't I?
