Another baby?

With Ivan growing up fast, I would love to have another baby but I'm just not sure how ready is Ivan. So, I had a little chat with Ivan yesterday night on the bed ..

[me lying down] : Ivan, would you like to have a mei mei (little sister) or di di (little brother) to play with you?

[Ivan] : di di !

[me] : Why not mei mei? Ok .. do you prefer a di di or mei mei? *notice that I am asking di di first now just to try him out*

[Ivan] : di di !

[me] : Ok ... So if mummy has a di di in my tummy now, can you sayang him please?

[Ivan looking at my tummy curiously] : baby? Ivan sleep?

He's asking whether he can sleep on my tummy or not.. well, probably with the "baby" or he's thinking that he IS the baby. And before I could answer, he lies down on my tummy with one side of his ear pressed down on my tummy *as though he's hoping to hear something in my tummy*. With my full-of-noise-tummy, I didn't dissapoint him abit. After awhile, he was giggling happily.

Back to the 'test'.

[me] : Ivan, you can't sleep on my tummy if I have a baby in there, right?

[Ivan] : rrriiighht

And he continued lying down on my tummy.

[me] : Hey sweetie, please don't press so hard. Baby will get hurt you know? Don't you want to sayang baby?

[Ivan giggling happily] : Mummy, baby ! Ivan sleep ! Baby !

Ivan continued with his 'game'. Listening to mummy's tummy growling and grunting, ignoring mummy's plead not to press on tummy so hard. So, I guess the conclusion says that Ivan is not ready to have a little brother or sister now. Oh incase you are reading hubby, please don't be surprise. I'm NOT pregnant. :)
