Happy Rides. Happy for the children but disaster for the parents. I'm talking about those fifty cents rides found in shopping malls. (For some shopping malls, it's one ringgit). These are money eating machines and all it does is just rock back and forth. Every shopping malls that we go, we will see those rides. We catch them on every corner and on both left and right sides.
Seriously, I don't see anything 'fun' on these rides. If you have been on one, you have been on all. It's just that the rides come in different packagings. Some packaged with barney and friends, some are train or car or plane or bear or ... etc. But it still manage to capture children's attention. Unfortunately, Ivan got hooked on it. Whenever he sees a happy ride, he will want to ride on it too. Good side is, Ivan treasures fifty cents alot. He understands the joy of what fifty cents can bring him even though he doesn't know how to earn it ... yet.
And guess what? Even the Bandar Puteri's market has lots of these rides too. So, everywhere that we go, 50 cents coins are something we will not leave home without. Ivan would not understand when I tell him I don't have coins with me or I need to change some coins first. Those tricks don't work anymore. :)
