Que Sera, Sera
When I was just a little girl,I asked my mother,
When I was just a little girl,I asked my mother,
"What will I be?
Will I be pretty?
Will I be rich?"
Here's what she said to me:
Que sera, sera,
Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera,
What will be, will be.
This is the popular children song written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. I had to forget about the Pivot Table post first, to write this cause ... I am lazy to write about Pivot Table and secondly, Gavin came to visit today. I promised him that I will blog about him. Ha ! Here it is ...
Gavin (tooshy little boy), mummy and Andrew
Gavin is my sis' only child. As the only child, he's quite pampered and gets all the attention he wants from his parents. Mom took care of him when he was just a baby and I was in my late primary or early secondary school life. He was a really cute baby at that time. I remember reading him the One Two Buckle My Shoes nursery rhyme when he was at the age of 2. At that age, he still can't speak properly and he can only repeat the last word I said. But, instead of 'shoes', he said 'toosh'. No matter how many times I had corrected him, he will still say toosh and not shoes. The tooshy little boy.
When he was a little older, perhaps, 5 - 6 years old, I was a rebellious teenager and he was a real rascal. I can still remember us fighting. Punching each other, pulling each other's hair and slapping each other. There was once when I was sewing, (yah... I can sew), and he was sitting beside me. He was freaking out like how close I am to prick him with my needle. Well, that wasn't even my intention but to play along, I scare him by pulling the needle very close to him. Haha ... he was so terrified ! He called his dad and told the whole wide world that I tried to prick him. *lalllallalaaalalaa*
Well, time flies and he has grown up to be a young man now. Rebellious young man. (Even more rebellious than I was last time). At this stage, I have seen him in relationships and he has broken some hearts too. Well, boys will be boys.
Being the only child, he gets what he wants *almost* ... He often asked for cash, stuffs such as perfumes, branded clothings etc etc etc. Recently, he asked for a car to drive to college. Gosh ! I only got my own car when I started working and ... that was all thanks to my brother (another story next time). And I was wondering. What happens if Ivan asked to cycle out to his nearby friend's house at the age of 9? or what if he asks permission to join his friends in Lot 10 at the age of 13? or what if he wants to borrow my cool Vios when he gets his license *through bribery*? gasp I'm unsure whether will I be as protective and strict as my dad (that was how I was brought up) or will I fulfill every needs and demands of my child? I can only pray hard that he doesn't grow up to have slight resemblance to Gavin. Geezz ... really, I can't tell now. And, hence, the Que Sera Sera song ... 'What will be, will be' ...
Whatever will be, will be
