Revision Time

Exam again. *sigh* Pity him ... so much for a 4 years old.

The subjects to revise are English, Mathematics, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia and also Moral & Science. That's crazy indeed. 5 subjects for 5 days of exam. Gee .. luckily, his teachers gave him (.. or the parents) a list of topics to cover for each subjects. So, nothing to worry really. Besides, Ivan's not worried anyway.. hmm ..

So, revision time ! Don't want him to bring home mu-te for any of his papers. (not sure about the spelling but in Tamil, mu-te simply means egg. I was brought up to understand that eggs represent zero and it's used widely by all as a joke or sarcasm. Example, ha ! You've gotten mu-te for your paper? Hahha .. OR My oh my, why study so hard when you are going to get mu-te anyway. Hm ... something like that)

Of all subjects, I am worried about English. In the last semester, he only need to revise on Phonics. Errm, learn the sound of each alphabets. Example, he needs to know that Jug starts with J, Envelope starts with E, Axe starts with A and etc. I was expecting something similar this semester but heck no .. He must be able to read words and understand the meanings. There are 48 words and we only have 2 weeks. *faint*

Then, a friend shared her experience in teaching her baby to recognise words. She uses flashcards ! What a great idea it turns out to be. I cut out small cards and got colourful markers for Ivan. I get him to write the words on those cards and flash them to Jayden. Confused why Jayden? Hahah ... Trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. While Ivan is learning for his exam, Jayden could probably benefit from it as well. Moreover, it's also to gives some kind of responsibilities to Ivan to teach his little brother something he learnt in school.

Subsequently, I put up those cards on fridge. :P Everytime he passes by the fridge, he gets to see those cards and whenever he wants some snacks, he has to read the cards for access. Hahah.. I'm so evil. :P
