Happy Father's Day

Here's a story of a father. 4 years ago when he was delightfully told that he is going to be a father, he just couldn't believe it, he didn't think it can be that easy. Several months ago when the same news hit him the second time, he is amazed that he didn't fell down from chair, no, he was shocked, just that he's too heavy to fall backward or forward.

This is the same person who has hairs standing when he sees a life-form moving inside his wife's tummy, it feels funny he said. Nonetheless, he still finds her attractive and sexy with the bump (ahem, added in for more dramatic effect).

Carrying a child in his arms has never been a challenge for him but carrying his child for the first time is, he couldn't decide whether the child looks more like him or his wife. Lucky for the matching tags on the child's feet with his wife's hand. Else, he will probably think that hospital made a mistake. How can a handsome child like this turns out to be his son, he wonders.

Time flies and there were ups and downs handling a demanding child like Ivan. But there were more ups compared to the downs, thanks to this father's extraordinary patience level. They may have argued and fought fiercely but, being the wiser older one, he always manage to tame the little cub down (with the help of a magic wand a.k.a cane... tsk tsk tsk)

Though he has been really 'prepared' himself mentally to be a father so soon, to him it's always too soon but, he has always been there for us. Rain or Shine. In Sorrow or In Happiness. In Sickness or In Health. In Poor or In Wealth. hmm ... sounds like some familiar oath we said sometime ago ..

Here's to the wonderful man in our life, who has always been there for us. We thank God for giving us you. Happy Father's Day, Jeffrey !
