Wet Talk
"Mummy ! It's wet ! It's all wet ! I'm all wet and the pillow is wet !" Ivan was freaking out early this morning at around 3 am. Still shocked and trying to make up what was causing him such distress, I saw him standing on his bed.
Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh ... I found the root cause when I touched him. He was drenched half body down with his .. ermm ... pee pee. The little boy wet the bed. *teehee*
Recently he has told me many times that he would like to sleep without diaper.
"Ivan's a big boy already, Mummy. I don't want to wear diaper" "So when you need to pee pee at night how?" "I will tell Mummy"
Though he gave me such assurance, but I was never convinced to let him sleep without diaper. So, I told him this when putting on diaper for him. "You will wear your diaper. But if you need to pee pee, you still tell Mummy and we will go to the toilet to pee, ok?" He agreed. Then the next day when I open up his diaper, I will always find it soiled. "Hey, you pissed in your diaper. You didn't tell me geh?" "Yah, you put on diaper for me"
And this goes on until yesterday when I finally decided to have him try out to sleep without diaper. But I failed to inform him though. And, you knew what happened after that, right? He was so shocked to find himself soaking wet from bottom down.
We changed him and let him sleep with us. This time, we asked him again about wearing diaper. And he insisted that he doesn't want and he would wake me up if he has to go. I'm not sure whether if it was my imagination or I was just being sensitive but I feel that he was feeling bad for not keeping up to his words in the first place. Nevertheless, we never lose faith in him. The most, we will all end up sleeping on the floor if he wets our bed as well.
