Finally, I'm back to work. Today is the 3rd day of working... *was too tired to blog for the past 2 days*. It's night now and I'm sitting on the bed with my Think Pad infront of me. As I'm typing, I have Ivan lying down on my lap and from time to time, I would be swinging Jayden using my left hand. Hmm .. this is how a mummy would multitask.
Someone once asked me whether do women really need to take 2 months off after labour. Hmmm ... 2 months is a tad too short, frankly. Singaporeans get 4 months and some other part of the world gets more than 6 months (though for some places, it's considered as unpaid leave). Sincerely, we don't 'rest and relax' during the 2 months and it's actually the most tiring period in the entire baby making process.
In just 2 months time, I have developed dark circles and heavy eyebags. Not a pleasant sight of myself but imagine how much worse I would be if not given the 2 months break to recuperate. So, please, don't pop that inconsiderate question to any of the mummies you know. If she's nice, she will politely brush you off, else, don't be surprised if you were kicked into the drain and poured over with cow dung.
Back at work, I was worried that I might forget some passwords or left out some tasks hanging since 2 months ago. Surprisingly, nothing of that sort happened to me. I merely forget people's names. I was straining my head most of the time, trying to recall some familiar faces' names. gosh ... didn't see that coming.
I'm looking forward for the next holiday (which is next Monday - thank you thank you thank you Selangor !) and will definitely spend some time to lighten up my dark circles.
