Look, It's Not A Disease, I'm just Pregnant
I shared the pregnancy news with a close colleague at work and I was baffled with her reactions. It was series of crying and sad emoticons. huh? why so sad? Well, I reckoned that perhaps she is worrying about stuffs at work when I'm away for 2 months during maternity. So, I assured her that things shall be fine and dandy. Afterall, it's just 2 months and I'm still contactable.
But, it didn't stop there.
Several days passed after sharing the good news with her and she's still giving me the crying emoticons. To top it up, there was also remarks made such as, 'I never thought it will be positive' and 'I just tendered my resignation'. *duuhhhhhh* That's it. I'm annoyed big time.
So, next came my another male colleague. He got to know about my pregnancy and he started making plans. Well, I don't blame him for that .. infact, he should. Just to ensure that there isn't any hiccups at work. And next came the 'sensitive' question (or not so sensitive), 'With your condition now, do you think you can still handle this task?'. Wow ... your condition. My pregnancy, you mean?
Uhh .. people ... don't you know that pregnant ladies are emotional and sensitive? So, be sensitive and most importantly, be happy for me.
